About Linda Miranda Certified Pet Dog Trainer
I can't remember when I didn?t have a dog in my life! I am passionate about animals and fall in love with every dog I meet.
After 20 years in the Insurance Industry, I decided it was time to pursue my passion. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and an honors graduate from Animal Behavioral College. I have devoted my energy and enthusiasm into training my own dogs for the past 18 years and have professionally trained dogs for the last 5 years.
I have also worked in a variety of volunteer positions including the CT Humane Society, Labs for Rescue, and the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation.
I believe that the best methodologies are those that are based on building positive interactions, compassionate instruction, consistency, and mutual respect. I utilize a variety of techniques including:
- Shaping
- Clicker Training
- Positive Reinforcement
- Negative Correction
I firmly believe that positive interactions facilitate faster learning, are more effective, and allow you to have fun as you work with your best friend. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with you and your dog and hope that you too will agree that training can be made simple through Simple Obedience!
